Before the Vows, There’s Us.

We’re Jon and Jules, a husband-and-wife team who believe marriage is both sacred and skill-based. After 27 years of marriage, we’ve learned that love doesn’t need to be perfect, but it does need care, practice, and a shared commitment to growth.
Our work is rooted in faith and grounded in real life. We believe marriage is a covenant, not just a milestone, and that preparing for it means more than good intentions. It means learning how to communicate honestly, navigate conflict with grace, repair when things get hard, and stay connected through every season.
Jon is a licensed psychologist with a PhD in Counseling Psychology and decades of experience working with individuals, couples, and premarital couples. He currently serves as an Associate Professor of Psychology at Colorado Christian University, where he teaches and mentors students in counseling and psychology. Jon brings a calm, thoughtful presence and a deep understanding of communication, emotional safety, and relational dynamics, shaped by years of clinical practice, teaching, and walking alongside couples as they build trust and resilience.
Jules is a relationship and intimacy coach trained in the Somatica® Method. Her work focuses on helping couples understand communication, desire, boundaries, and connection in ways that honor the whole person—body, heart, and spirit. She’s known for creating spaces that feel grounded, honest, and supportive, where couples can learn without shame or pressure.
Together, we bring complementary perspectives to premarital work. We balance structure with warmth, faith with practical skill, insight with lived experience. Our approach is supportive, respectful, and intentionally human. We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all relationships, and we never push couples to share more than they’re comfortable with.
Our goal is simple: to help couples begin marriage with clarity, confidence, and the tools to build a strong, lasting partnership, one rooted in faith, strengthened by skill, and carried forward with intention.
