Before the Vows is a five-week premarital class for engaged couples who want to begin marriage with intention, faith, and practical tools for real life. In a small, guided cohort, couples explore communication, conflict, intimacy, faith, money, family dynamics, and shared vision. This experience blends faith-informed teaching with experiential practices that help couples move beyond conversation into lived connection. Led by husband-and-wife team Jon and Jules, married for 27 years, the class brings together two complementary perspectives. Jon is a licensed psychologist with a PhD in Counseling Psychology and decades of experience in premarital and marriage counseling. Jules is a relationship and intimacy coach trained in the Somatica® Method, known for creating spaces that feel grounded, honest, and deeply human. Together, they balance wisdom with warmth, structure with compassion, and faith with practical skill. Each session includes guided teaching, thoughtful prompts, and private couple exercises designed to deepen understanding and build real-world skills. You’ll practice how to communicate clearly, navigate conflict with grace, stay present when emotions run high, and repair when things get hard. There’s no pressure to overshare, no awkward group processing, and no one-size-fits-all approach. All personal work remains between you and your partner. Before the Vows is limited to a small group of couples to allow for depth, care, and meaningful engagement. The result is a supportive, faith-respecting environment where couples leave not just with insight, but with confidence, shared language, and tools they can carry into every season of marriage.
